Delivery and parking systems from MPSystem were installed in a commercial mall in Thailand. Faced with the need to meet the target number of parking spaces required for the building, MPSystem was approached to configure a design solution.
System Solutions
This specific project uses a combination of conventional and fully automated parking. Using the MPSystem decreased the total excavation depth by approximately 40% versus what would have been required for a typical solution. The end result is a parking depth of 8.5 m for the 3 parking basement floors. Due to its high customization capacity, MPSystem works well in hybrid parking projects, as it can be adapted to any layout and is seamlessly combined with the pre-established traffic flow.
The solution consisted of 5 MetroCL systems paired with 10 Drop & Go platforms. The multiple systems cover a total of 690 spaces, distributed over the 3 parking basement floors. Each delivery system covers over 120 parking spaces. The simultaneous operation of the systems allows for seamless, fast, and uninterrupted parking.
A customized through-pass design with a drop-off area at the entry and exits was created to accommodate the high traffic flow conditions of the parking garage. The solution ensures that while one user is dropping their car off, another can retrieve their vehicle. The project also includes a waiting room where the users can access the car retrieval system, wait comfortably, and check on the status of their car on its way out.
