Kitchen equipment from Gaggenau was used in a contemporary family home situated in the West Welsh landscape of the Gower Peninsula.
House Design
Owner Debra Woolley had owned a small, stoic stone holiday cottage for over thirty years. Wanting to retire in the home she chose to replace it with a contemporary family home. The planning rules within the area were strict, creating the challenge to present a house of such architectural merit that it would be approved. Designed with the help of architects, Loyn & Co. the solution was a three-story concrete and glass house that is nestled into a hillside.
Kitchen Design
The kitchen acts as a central space for gathering. The design includes a 6-meter-long stainless steel island with a flush, full-surface induction cooktop from Gaggenau. The room looks out onto the coastal setting of Wales with full-width glazing. Other Gaggenau appliances used include an oven and combi-steam oven.
