House Design
Following a move from Berlin, Malin moved into a small village on the East coast of Sweden. The house underwent a complete renovation that respected its history in terms of materiality and colors while modernizing its use and features.
Kitchen Design
The kitchen proved to be a challenging but worthwhile design. It was important to make the kitchen feel like an organic part of the house to respect the history. To achieve this the interiors followed the same bespoke aesthetic as the first kitchen. This included linseed oil paints, limestone countertops, and an island made from pine planks from the surrounding forests. Malin opted for two ovens from Gaggenau's 200 Series to easily bake her bread as well as an Induction cooktop with an integrated ventilation system also from the 200 Series.
