The PLANOCOLOR® TERRAZZO system from Novamix can be used to create pebble & micro-pebble surfaces. It is a well-designed decorative covering solution which includes:

As soon as the substrate has been properly prepared the micro-pebble mix is applied. A vast variety of PLANOCOLOR® GRANULATES (marble, quartz, silica, lightweight colored to the mass granulates) with 1-3mm grain size, are mixed with the hydraulic binders NOVACEM CREATIVE or NOVACEM CREATIVE FLOOR to create high strength micro-pebble coverings with a ‘barefoot friendly’ anti-slip texture, providing an ideal solution for landscape designers.
Micro-pebble coverings are suitable for:
- Landscape designs that contribute to the reduction of the heat island phenomenon in walkways, recreation areas, sidewalks, plazas, parking lots and other outdoor applications (TSR – LEED v4.1),
- Swimming pools with seaside effect, whirlpools, water fountains, spa, artificial lakes which combine anti-slippery finish with pleasant to bare foot feeling.
- Bespoke & customized constructions such as staircases, furniture, benches, sinks, flowerpots or even precast tiles or slabs.
- Luminous ‘glowing in the dark’ coverings in outdoor pathways, which absorb solar energy in the day and provide a smooth ambient external area lighting during the night
