Silestone and Dekton in Hipotels, Mallorca | Cosentino

Hipotels is a hotel chain that opened two new hotels in Playa de Palma, Mallorca in 2017: 4-star Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma and 5-star Hipotels Playa de Palma Palace, which together represent a great tourist and economic boom for the area.

For the execution of these buildings, Cosentino was chosen, more than 72,700 m² of the ultra-compact Dekton® surfaces and more than 1,600 m² Silestone® surfaces were used.

Areas of Use

Indoor and outdoor flooring, dry and wet areas
The ultra-compact Dekton® surface was mostly used on the pavement of both hotels, both indoors and outdoors. Its large format of Dekton® pieces (320 x 144 cm) made it possible to create flooring in rooms, common areas or outside swimming pools. To provide uniformity, the designers opted for similar and related shades such as soft, light and gray tones such as Edora and Keon.

1. Facades
   Dekton® by Cosentino behaves optimally in outdoor environments, specifically on facades, because it is resistant to erosion of beach sand and saltpeter. It also has high resistance to ultraviolet rays, color stability and high resistance to stains.
2. Wall cladding, dry and wet areas
   From applications in rooms, common areas, dining rooms and even bars, Dekton® responds excellently to damp or wet environments and is used as cladding for the walls of the heated pool, as well as room and spa bathrooms.
3. Reception, buffets and bars
   Silestone® by Cosentino becomes the perfect choice for these specific applications thanks to extraordinary characteristics such as easy cleaning and maintenance, great resistance to impact and scratches, and custom manufacturing.
4. Bathroom countertop and integrated sink
   The Silestone® Exclusive surface countertop and washbasin provide hardness, great resistance to stains and scratches, and low liquid absorption.
