Nightingale Lighting presents Observe cloud: advanced LED-level imagery that creates a realistic, calming sky visual to help patients feel at ease during MRI procedures. At the same time, it provides caregivers with enough ambient light for observation. When more light is required for post-scan activities such as cleanup, Observe cloud transitions to a uniform white light.
Several key design features contribute to Observe cloud’s compatibility with MRI spaces. The luminaire is made from non-ferrous materials to help prevent interference with imaging performance and minimize safety risks from magnetic attraction. The luminaire must be equipped with an EMI and RFI filter, which can be supplied by Nightingale, to ensure all electrical currents are properly conditioned before entering the MRI room shield. This is designed to help prevent unwanted electromagnetic or radio interference that could disrupt system performance or create imaging artifacts. Observe drivers are installed remotely, outside the MRI-shielded room. This minimizes the risk of magnetic and electrical interference and reduces heat generation near the scanner. The luminaire also features DC power to support the MRI's need for a low electrical noise environment.
