Crest is a student-led, design-build installation produced by F_RMlab at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture for Winter Stations 2026, an international competition transforming Toronto’s lifeguard stations into immersive works of public art. This year’s theme, Mirage, invited participants to address the “boundary of what is seen and what is real in the age of AI”, exploring art as a medium that disengages from the digital world by immersing audiences in shared, tactile experiences.
Registration is now open for the national public competition to select the architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture project for the Bixiga Municipal Park, located in the Bela Vista neighborhood in the central region of São Paulo.

In 2026, the annual Paul Mellon Lecture will be given by architect and urban conservationist Brinda Somaya. Drawing on decades of experience, she will explore the idea that architecture is not just about buildings and aesthetics but also about people, politics and social responsibility.
Founded by Oliver Thomas, the ATN Summit is the first flagship conference of the Archi-Tech Network, marking five years since the platform began as a grassroots initiative to share real-world architectural knowledge. Taking place on March 18–19, 2026, in London, the ATN Summit brings together architects, technologists, and industry innovators to explore how emerging technologies are reshaping architectural practice. For this issue of Dearq, "The Spatial Dimension of Urban Mobility," we are seeking contributions that critically analyze the interrelationships between urban mobility, space, and the territorial dimension, while considering social dynamics and environmental aspects. We place special emphasis on understanding how mobility practices, policies, and projects interact with the built environment and contribute to producing—or transforming—urban and regional landscapes.

This exhibition is part of the Advanced Architectural Design and Development studio by graduate students of the Master of Architecture in Architectural Design (International Program), Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, collaborated with Bangkok Design Week. The design brief began with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)’s projects in 2024—such as the redesign of the city’s identity system and the launch of a new landmark billboard in the city center—which are part of a broader effort to “rebrand” the city.

Tao Ho (1936-2019) – a renowned Hong Kong architect and cultural practitioner. He was trained among the pioneers of the Modern Architectural Movement, and was heavily influenced by the principles and spirits of the Bauhaus. He was a polymath who engaged in a wide array of cultural endeavors from urban planning, architectural design, and graphic design, to painting, sculpture, Eastern and Western philosophy and cosmic science.
As part of the international contemporary art exhibition Segrete. Tracce di Memoria, the interior spaces of Eugenio Fuselli’s architecture host an intervention by Matteo Pulvirenti.
