Following the announcement of the first projects for the upcoming edition of the Concéntrico Festival in Logroño, scheduled for June 18–23, 2026, we are continuing to expand the program with new initiatives.

The City of Amsterdam has launched an international architectural competition for the design of the National Slavery Museum, in partnership with the National Slavery Museum Foundation.

An inclusive approach to the rehabilitation of self-produced areas is essential to promote more objective and widespread knowledge production for the development of new public policies in times of planetary urbanization. To this end, the ISOB - International Seminar on Outros Bairros aims to systematize the interdisciplinary knowledge produced and experienced during the experimental period of the Outros Bairros Initiative (2019-2022), intersecting it with current urban demands. Over four days of meetings, the event will feature various sessions that will allow us to listen to the perspectives of residents from self-produced areas in Mindelo, as well as students and researchers from diverse fields, policymakers, and other participants.

The Bethel Woods Art & Architecture Festival (BuildFest) 2026, titled "Acts of Construction – Act One: Staging" invites proposals for timber pavilions and multimedia activations to be installed on the historic grounds of the 1969 Woodstock festival.

Buildner has announced the results of the Dubai Urban Elements Challenge, a landmark international design competition organized in strategic collaboration with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). With a total prize fund of 2,000,000 AED (approximately €500,000), the initiative represents one of the most significant publicly funded global design competitions focused on urban transformation.

The competition was conceived as a forward-looking procurement and innovation platform for one of the world's fastest-evolving metropolitan environments. Participants were invited to propose modular, climate-responsive urban elements—seating systems, shading devices, lighting infrastructure, wayfinding components, rest areas, and micro-retail structures—designed to enhance pedestrian life and strengthen Dubai's public realm identity.

Mission Presentation
Taller & Patrimoine is an association with an international scope whose mission is to link the preservation of architectural and cultural heritage with environmental sustainability. Through the Rural Laboratory project, it has been carrying out continuous work for the past two years in Bécal, Mexico, focusing on the restoration of traditional Maya dwellings and the revaluation of traditional construction knowledge as living spaces of identity and sustainability.

This benchmark event analyzes the role of technical wood in residential, social, and industrial construction.
