Young architects and designers are invited to submit work to the 2024 Architectural League Prize competition. Projects of all types, either theoretical or real, and executed in any medium, are welcome. The jury will select work for presentation in lectures, digital media, and an exhibition in June 2024. Winners will receive a cash prize of $2,000.

The MICROHOME Kingspan Edition invites participants to conceptualize an off-grid modular dwelling that would accommodate a hypothetical young professional couple. This scenario serves as the benchmark family size for the competition. The total floor area of the structure should not exceed 25 m2, thereby encouraging participants to push their creativity and innovate within these parameters.
Organized by the Lakshmi Mittal South Asia Institute at Harvard University in collaboration with the Architecture Foundation, this conference aims to create a forum that helps architects reflect upon the breadth of work undertaken in the South Asia region collectively. The conference will put theoreticians/academics and practitioners in dialogue with each other - bridging the schism that exists between the academy and practice. This is hoped to lead to some productive insights on both ends of the spectrum to help better inform the question: What is the ‘architecture’ of practice, that is relevant and effective for the South Asia region, that continues to be characterized by acute transitions?

The biannual International VELUX Award for Students of Architecture returns for its 2024 edition, inviting students from all over the world to innovate on the theme of daylight in architecture, specifically, to envision the "Light of Tomorrow." This broad theme has encapsulated the award since its launch in 2004. Since then, over 6,000 projects from 130 countries have been submitted that adopt an open-minded, experimental approach to daylight in the built environment.
