Winnipeg Railside Promenade Ideas Competition

The Forks Renewal Corporation has launched an ideas competition for the redevelopment of Israel Asper Way from a four-lane roadway into a unique public space. The project will be known as Railside Promenade, a key component for the Railside at The Forks plan. Railside is planned to become a vibrant mixed-use residential development located at The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Samcheok city is in the administrative district of Gangwon Providence and it is a central area of tourism for the East coast of Korea. Historically, Yisabu, a general/administrator of Silla (one of the nations of ‘Three Kingdoms Period’ in the Korean Peninsula), launched in 512 A.D. his voyage to Usanguk (an island nation in East Coast of Korean Peninsula, now Ulleungdo and Dokdo). It is one of the important pieces of evidence claiming Dokdo for the Republic of Korea.

Request for Proposals (RFP) Development of Queen Victoria Park Concept Master Plan

The Niagara Parks Commission has issued a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) to the Planning, Architectural and Landscape Architectural Consultant community, seeking assistance and support for the development of a renewed Concept Master Plan for Queen Victoria Park. The purpose of the Concept Master Plan is to establish a set of structured guidelines for the ongoing development, programming and management of Niagara Parks lands within Queen Victoria Park, from Oakes Garden Theatre and its Rainbow Gardens to Kingsbridge Park.

The main objective of this contest is to encourage and inspire thinking about our man-made environment via architecture-related photographs.

An exhibition is going to be opened in Budapest in November, 2017 to present the winning as well as the shortlisted finalist photos of the contest. From here the exhibition is to be moved on to Bratislava, Prague and Cracow at the beginning of the year 2018.
All the photos exhibited are also to be published in a special issue of the Hungarian Architecture
