CLUE, the international design competition which rewards excellence in lighting design, launches its annual edition under the theme of LIGHT AND THE SENSES. From a young age, we know to use our senses to investigate the world around us and to guide us through our daily lives. For this year’s edition, CLUE invites students and young professional to develop a lighting design solution that aids the users of a city to reconnect and to better their public spaces through the use of their senses.

The Shipping Container is one such potential building material that boasts of good structural quality, can be recycled easily and is universally available.
Young architects and designers are invited to submit work to the annual Architectural League Prize Competition. Projects of all types, either theoretical or real, and executed in any medium, are welcome. The jury will select work for presentation in lectures, digital media, and an exhibition in June 2018. Winners will receive a cash prize of $2,000.

The medians of Park Avenue, or the “centerlines,” are traditionally characterized by plantings and periodic sculpture installations. Park Avenue medians represent a traditional element of New York City but also provide an opportunity for reinvention. Other areas of New York City, such as the High Line, have successfully transformed into an exciting destination for city dwellers and visitors alike.
In his first solo exhibition in the United States, Sergei's 18 works on paper reveal his memories in Russia. The themes span monuments, fantastical scenes of Berlin, cities under water, exceptional sections and compositions of historical and contemporary architecture.
The purpose of the Competition is to select the best Investment design located in the vicinity of the Birthplace of Fryderyk Chopin and Park in Żelazowa Wola. The conceptual architectural design must take into account the spatial relationship with the Birthplace of Fryderyk Chopin, which is the focal point of the historic park surrounding it, in particular it must harmonize with the function of the site, i.e. the Park-Memorial created in the 20’s and 30’s of the 20th century to commemorate the great artist.

These codes have long recognized wood’s performance capabilities and allow its use in a wide range of low- to mid-rise residential and non-residential building types. Moreover, wood often surpasses steel and concrete in terms of strength, durability, fire safety, seismic performance, and sustainability – among other qualities.
