ISCTE-IUL is organizing an important initiative titled "Diving into the South of Raúl Hestnes Ferreira" (a Portuguese architect), which will take place on June 4, 5, and 6, 2018. This year, which coincides with his passing at the age of 86, we intend to revisit a significant collection of the architect's works located south of Lisbon. Alongside the visits, reflections, and testimonies from collaborators who participated in the various projects, the goal is to revive the memory of Raúl Hestnes Ferreira's unique and transcultural journey between Portugal, Finland, and the United States.

A graduate in industrial design from the University of Brasília and a partner at the firm Borém e Borém Design e Interiores, the designer is consistently involved in multidisciplinary and creative projects spanning decor, furniture, music, photography, writing, poetry, and the visual arts.
