The goal of this workshop is to introduce students to the world of e-textiles, or electronics integrated into textiles.
To achieve this, the session will review basic electronics concepts, traditional components, and microcontroller programming, before demonstrating how these elements are adapted to textiles using new techniques and specialized materials, such as conductive fabrics and threads.
The workshop will be guided through presentations, demonstrations, and practical exercises, culminating in the development of an initial prototype with integrated analog electronics that students can take home.
