Solid Ground: NAC Collective

Since 2015, Galería NAC has worked consistently to promote contemporary Chilean art, specifically the work of emerging artists. After four years, we are proud to note that we have held over 80 exhibitions, participated in more than 10 fairs, and established a visual identity centered on art and architecture for which NAC is now recognized.

Opening of YAP Constructo 8 in Santiago

The inauguration of YAP_Constructo 8 will take place next Thursday, April 11, at Parque Araucano (Santiago). The program is developed in Chile by CONSTRUCTO in partnership with MoMA and is directed by architects Jeannette Plaut and Marcelo Sarovic.

Torres Colón: Fifty years since construction began

Torres Colón is the first example of suspended architecture in Spain. Designed in 1969 by Antonio Lamela (Madrid, 1927–2017)—one of the most significant Spanish architects of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, who passed away two years ago this April—the towers stand as a symbol of the country's architecture and the Madrid skyline.

Workshop 'Architecture in the City' in Belo Horizonte

The two-week workshop at the UNI-BH University in Belo Horizonte aims to study issues related to the city's downtown area to develop an architectural and urban proposal for presentation to the local administration. Design activities will be accompanied by a series of lectures by guest speakers and three guided tours to Ouro Preto, Inhotim, and Pampulha. The workshop will be coordinated by Alberto Collet, Carlos Maia, Débora Vieira, and Igor Macedo, who form the group AAP – Alternative Academic Project. Workshop guests include Augusto Angelini (Santiago, Chile), Alexandre Brasil, Paula Zasnicoff, Arquitetos Associados (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), Gustavo Penna (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), Luciano Kruk (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Diego Arraigada (Rosario, Argentina), and Bloco Arquitetos (Brasilia, Brazil).

Anatomy of Modern Architecture in Providencia through Models

The course views buildings as bodies, with their parts, components, and materials in harmony. As such, buildings possess a unique anatomy, with their load-bearing structure serving as the closest analogy to the human skeleton and its bones. From this perspective, the course proposes an anatomical operation directed toward understanding their structural core.

The exhibition proposes a space that operates according to the essential strategies that make up the design process of El Equipo Mazzanti + horizontal. Through a shifting exhibition, visitors will be able to understand not only what we do—our completed projects—but also how we work, our processes, and our methodologies. "Playing with Pedagogies" will be a space open to creativity, presented to the public as an ephemeral workshop. It will be a space that places the visitor at the center of the exhibition, making them part of our narrative.
