Join friends and colleagues for Tabula Rasa, the 2016 Architectural League Beaux Arts Ball taking place at A/D/O, a new design space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. This year’s theme celebrates the creative act of fresh thinking and innovation and New York’s own ceaseless reinvention. The Ball will offer a rare inside look at the raw and in-progress 23,000 square-foot A/D/O space designed by Brooklyn-based nARCHITECTS. Responding to this year's theme, Ultramoderne will design a site-specific installation and Wild Dogs International will develop projection-mapped installations to be displayed throughout the space. Fredrik Berselius of Aska will create a menu of light fare.

In the heart of the Caribbean Sea, the island of Puerto Rico shines like a newly polished emerald—bound by history, nurtured by culture, full of life, incredible food, vivacious music, warm people, spectacular beaches and a promising design community. But its economic crisis has put the island on the global spotlight in the most unfortunate of ways, with the international media pessimistically dubbing it ‘the Greece of the Caribbean’. Like Greece, there's much more to la isla bonita (‘the pretty island’, as it was known around the world) than economic and political woes, and if we were to take a look inside the island, peeking through the leaves of its palm trees and luscious fauna, we'd find a people who are determined to succeed and survive; a people who are creative and bold. That's why this summer, we're lobbying for Puerto Rico.
Archiprix 2017 will be hosted at Ahmedabad in 1st Feb – 10th Feb February 2017 in cooperation with CEPT University Ahmedabad. ArchiprixInternational is a biennial event which showcases the best graduation projects of students from all over the globe in Architecture, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture. This is the ninth edition of Archiprix.
