The AIA Conference on Architecture & Design (AIA24), happening June 5–8 in Washington, D.C., is the premier annual conference that celebrates multidisciplinary solutions from across the built environment and the power of designing a better world, together.

The growing presence of robotics in art, research, design, and construction has changed the way we practice and think through our tools. Since 2012, when the first ROB|ARCH conference was held, the role of robotics in creative practices and manufacturing industries has grown, shifted, and evolved. Robots are no longer a shiny novelty restricted to niche research proposals but are now a fundamental technical tool for interfacing between digital and physical worlds.

To drive change, the 7th Annual 1.5°C Symposium on Climate Change is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of the pivotal role played by Embodied Carbon in our industry. This issue stands as one of the most pressing challenges we face in our lifetimes(careers). Our mission is to delve into the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of this matter while underscoring the urgency it presents to both ourselves and the environment.

Organized by Womxn in Design and Architecture (WDA, @princetonwda), a graduate student group formed in 2014 at Princeton University School of Architecture, this annual conference celebrates the work and memory of a pivotal architect or designer with contributions from international historians and scholars, in addition to artists, musicians, curators, and practitioners. The eighth Womxn in Design Conference at the Princeton School of Architecture honors the life and work of Alero Olympio.
