Every two years, the Manuel de Solà-Morales European Prize will recognize the best university research in the field of urbanism carried out by a student granted a PhD.

An international open design competition for a new Conservation Centre at the Oloololo Gate, Masai Mara, Kenya, on behalf of Abercrombie and Kent Philanthropy - the philanthropic arm of travel company Abercrombie and Kent.

A. Purpose of the Competition:
- Through the construction of the new building in Gangbuk-gu, the government aims to provide better public administration services by consolidating dispersed public administration facilities, improving access and convenience for residents, and providing one-stop administrative services.
- As an administrative complex town, the Gangbuk-gu applicant aims to revitalize the local economy by supplying the living SOC that is lacking in Gangbuk-gu, increasing opportunities for local residents to enjoy culture, and creating a community space that provides various social contact opportunities rather than the existing 'government office' and a unique space that supports youth activities and youth entrepreneurship.
- Through creative and iconic design, it will become a global landmark that goes beyond the region and inspires pride in the people of Gangbuk-gu.

We encourage visionaries from around the globe to apply for the competition and design the next-generation schools for Ukraine. We aim to rebuild Ukraine's educational spaces, making them more resilient, safe, and innovative.

Located right at the border with Russia, Kharkiv stands as Ukraine’s second-largest city and has been significantly impacted by the ongoing conflict. This historically relevant and industrial city now faces the pressing challenge of rebuilding its damaged urban fabric, with a particular focus on residential buildings and public spaces, to not only repair but to also to improve the living conditions of its residents. This competition is part of the larger Kharkiv concept Masterplan project: a local and international initiative of the Kharkiv City Council, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) within the framework of the UN4UkrainianCities initiative, the Norman Foster Foundation, Arup, and the Kharkiv Architects Group, among others.

In the year of World Design Capital Seoul in 2010, Seoul was also designated as a City of Design by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, a program initiated to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This designation marked the beginning of Seoul’s journey towards a sustainable future through collaborative design efforts among cities.

The Italian cultural association dotART, based in Trieste is launching the 15th edition of URBAN Photo Awards. The contest is open to everybody worldwide and it is organized into 4 sections: Single Photos (divided in 4 themes: Streets, People, Spaces and Creative), Projects & Portfolios, URBAN Book & Zine Award and URBAN Photo Arena.
