We even featured him as an ARE prep expert here at ArchDaily. Now, Riscica onto his latest groundbreaking venture: The Young Architect Conference.
This August 23-25 in Portland, Oregon at The Redd (recently completed by Opsis), The Young Architect Conference will focus exclusively on developing the next generation of architects.
Riscica’s mission is to make future architects profoundly successful by equipping them with the knowledge, inspiration and community to thrive. He launched the YA Conference because he saw a gap in the professional conference marketplace.
Imagine if we had a conference exclusively for the young people in the profession of architecture. A conference that was fun and wasn’t focused on meeting a quota of continuing education units.
Unlike other events, the YA Conference serves students, emerging professionals and recently licensed architects by strengthening community, mentorship, and professional development.
Instead of featuring starchitect keynotes, Riscica selected lesser-known highly successful professionals, who are just a few steps ahead, to inspire while being relatable and accessible. Plus, he orchestrated lots of high-value programming for any young architect seeking lasting career success.
