Text description provided by the architects. This roof is a gesture, the gesture of a paper in the palm of a hand, which made random facets, gave him a lot of lightness, and came suspend as a link, a bridge .... between the ramparts and the city, between a historical context that still lives on the plot and a contemporary program, public place tomorrow between two volumes simply to house the offices of RCFM.

We had this opportunity to work on a historic site, that of the citadel of Bastia.

An opportunity but also a real responsibility felt every moment of conception, between respect for the past and future will and challenging the notion that we had heritage.

Do not remove the history of the place, rich little piece of the past, not invading anything ...

shut to reveal ... but the strength of our convictions ...

This is our approach ...

In the context of this project we have:

A historic site: the bastion of St. Jean Baptiste, Bastia CORSICA

A special project: the local radio station, RCFM

Our approach was not sure of success, but our commitment was whole with three priorities:

1 - Respect and value the existing places

2 - Respect program

3 - Provide authentic architecture in a strong gesture, in line with the times assimilating the conservation and construction of spots.
