The presence of three Beautiful Native trees, “Algarrobos”, was very important for the inspiration of our proyect, knowing since the beggining that would form part of the architecture.  The area is unpopulated, which gave the guideline that we should conquer the territory and generate a place, a refuge.

We had strong challenges; on the one hand, design with the limitation of only having the resources of PRO.CRE.AR credit, with the commitement of building  away from the city, outside the radius of our suppliers; and on the other hand to satisfy the particular requirements of the customer.

The design seeks efficiency through a simple and rational function with the possibility of growing at the tips, which is in our view, the most convenient and economical way to grow.

We finally solved materialize the envelopes with wide brick, “ladrillon”, which provides the necessary thermal inertia to the mountain climate. We generally seek to allow materials to show up, so we let the bricks seen, unplastered, as well as the concrete beams and slab. We designed a serie of screenings “cribados” of the same material, which filter the light and act as "bars", an economic resource for security, one of the requirements of the customer.
