Text description provided by the architects. Skalia Corporation is located in the most privileged business area of the city of Guadalajara. It is an innovative building, dedicated to offering the most advanced worldwide concept in corporate space, integrating maximum efficiency, functionality, security, ecological awareness, state-of-the-art technology and high quality materials in its architectural design. The building consists of a 16 floor high office tower with service cores, wide service and emergency staircases, elevators, HVAC rooms, cleaning stations and accessible service ducts, a mezzanine for private offices and customer service, a main lobby, two retail floors with access from Mario Pani street, six underground parking levels and a heliport on the rooftop.
Its shape is based on a simple square, offset at the main façade to visually compose two geometric bodies. One of them recedes at an angle in the upper part of the building in order to generate terraces on the top floors. The main entrance is emphasized with a large glass triangle that generates an interesting awareness of the space, as the user moves through wooden decks and reflecting pools. The main lobby is double height and is located at the center of the ground floor. The lobby is linked to the mezzanine through a glass bridge that divides the space symmetrically. Skalia Corporation considers ecological features that bring sustainability to the building and to the city.
The building is designed with square modules 1.22 meters on the side, allowing for an efficient use of materials. Its terraces filter direct sunlight on the facades, and also generate common and smoking areas. Its design takes into account the geographic orientation of the building to minimize thermal loads in its interior. Skalia Corporation complies with the highest standards of systematization in order to be one of the most intelligent buildings in Mexico. Because of this and much more, Skalia Corporation is positioned as the best office building in the State of Jalisco.
