Text description provided by the architects. The project for San Juan Park, inspired by pictorial composition and Sharawadgi, proposes a journey along the edge: a succession of actions set within a new natural path. The edge is understood as the end of the urban space and the beginning of the views toward the Madrid mountain range. The starting point is a study of the pre-existing conditions, cataloging all natural and artificial elements within the green space to preserve the environment, revalue resources, and minimize the intervention's cost. Once the surroundings were studied, new architectural elements were introduced. These dialogue in different ways with the park's edge and the pre-existing features, generating actions along a natural and perceptual path for the visitor. Each of these new actions is nurtured by its relationship with nature, the urban pre-existence, and the new architectural elements. These actions are not conceived in plan, but rather as a succession of events and perspectives that enhance the overall experience.
