Text description provided by the architects. Located in the center of Mérida, opposite the old railway station, lies a complex of seven properties built in the early 1900s, which stand as vestiges of the industrial architecture of the era. These properties were originally used to store railcars. Over the years, as the properties were subdivided, they became individualized. The irregularly shaped lot features a site area of only 95 square meters. Transforming this industrial-use property into a home presented a major challenge. Additionally, the INAH (National Institute of Anthropology and History) did not allow the construction of any habitable (roofed) spaces on the upper floor.
