Text description provided by the architects. This project was born out of a couple's need for a weekend retreat on the outskirts of the city, seeking contact with nature. The cabin is located 45 minutes from the city of Cali, at kilometer 30 of the old road to the sea, in the municipality of Dagua, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. The brief called for a small, low-cost space, built with traditional materials, easy to construct, and with a strong relationship to its views and nature.
