Text description provided by the architects. Studio 1004 was commissioned by the developer of the K-Platz complex. The 73 m² (785 sq ft) floor plan, which came with only the bathrooms, kitchen, and service areas in pre-defined positions, was a blank canvas where we had the freedom to explore its spatiality and imagine the profile of its future residents. The project was designed for a young couple who requires a versatile space (for resting, entertaining friends, and working) that is fluid and free of excess. Inspired by modernist canons and aesthetics translated to contemporary needs, we chose to take advantage of the open plan, establishing few physical barriers to separate the rooms.
