The Santiago Architecture Film Festival is celebrating its first decade since its inaugural edition in October 2012. To mark this milestone, it has invited members of its community to answer the question that has guided its work: What do we talk about when we talk about film and architecture?
I once read an architecture critic who said that avant-garde architects do not exist, as our practice is rather a reflection of the present. And it is true. Architects have always followed technological advancements and those who drive social and cultural movements. In doing so, by arranging walls and windows, we have always stood ready to accommodate new ways of living.
