Sinuous models, sharp curves, geometrically complex shapes. When discussing parametric architecture, these are likely the first images that come to mind. And with good reason. As a design approach, using parameters in the creative process has enabled the creation of striking forms at the intersection of digital technology and construction.
While the term is still debated in academia, in practice, parametric architecture can be defined as a way to develop an architectural project based on predefined parameters, using computational technology and algorithms to generate new forms.
