Established in 2009, PRAXiS d’ARCHITECTURE has undertaken a diverse portfolio of projects across various scales—ranging from office buildings, artist studios, and exhibition spaces to installations and furniture.
Our design process begins with an understanding of the site, drawing inspiration from its physical and cultural context to establish a central theme. This theme is articulated through the medium of architecture, defining the quality of materials, light, and space. As it interfaces with site conditions, functional programs, and other external constraints, the theme is tangibly manifested. Architectural design is precisely this process of negotiation and collision, discovering the threshold between the perceived and unperceived dimensions of the theme. It is a balancing act between reality and imagination, utility and concept. While the theme is occasionally translated directly into architectural space, there are times when it is not—in which case, given the inherent utility of architecture, the theme must be reassessed.
PRAXiS’s designs have been published in leading domestic and international architectural media, including Dezeen, ArchDaily, Frame, DETAIL, Beiyang Jiangxin, gooood, UED, and Concept, and have received numerous domestic and international awards.
