Art Week kicks off today in Mexico City, with more than 210 galleries opening their doors to host diverse programs showcasing the work of artists from 26 countries. Our featured lineup ranges from the recently opened exhibition "Habitat" by Lina Bo Bardi at Museo Jumex to the internationally renowned ZⓈONAMACO art fair, as well as the well-known exhibitions organized by guadalajara90210 that blend art and architecture.
We know that both architecture and design draw from the constant experiences of life itself. As professionals, we recognize our duty to immerse ourselves in art and culture to enrich our creativity, but above all, to connect with the discourse of various creatives who capture and reinterpret the world we inhabit. With this in mind, we have compiled a selection of exhibitions and fairs you can visit in Mexico City from February 4 to 9 that will spark your imagination.

Mariposa B1-09 is a project by artist Michael Lin, commissioned by Museo Jumex. The exhibition features a hand-painted floor stretching over 1,300 m2, temporarily covering the building's entire plaza and ground floor. The work is based on the design of a traditional Mexican tablecloth, reminiscent of patterns found in textiles from Taiwan, the artist's native country. The mural serves as both a physical and metaphorical stage, highlighting the interaction between popular culture, art, and its institutions.

It is never about imitation," Cappello notes.
