Eight years ago today, we began this adventure called ArchDaily México, sharing the same mission as the global ArchDaily platform: to continue providing inspiration, knowledge, and tools to architects, but through a local lens, recognizing the value that national talent has to offer to the world.
Mexico's scale, combined with its rapid growth and development, presents significant territorial and urban challenges. This led us to realize from day one the importance of practices and built works across the entire country, in all their diversity and potential. We set out to become a platform that promotes and supports every type of practice—from established firms to small, emerging studios, and even long-standing practices that had previously lacked visibility.
Similarly, we knew we had to showcase not only high-budget, large-scale projects, but also small renovations, restorations, works of honest architecture, rural design, urban interventions, pavilions, and more, always with the goal of democratizing architectural information.
