The student collective Post_Arq from the Leopoldo Rother Architecture Museum at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia has shared with us their interview with professor Pablo Gamboa Samper. This interview is part of a series featuring seven Colombian architects, including figures such as Sebastían Serna, Santiago Pradilla, Lorenzo Castro, and Fernando de la Carrera, whose interviews will be released on their channel.
Description provided by the collective: The studio of Colombian architect Pablo Gamboa Samper is located in the iconic Torres del Parque. Trained at the Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy) and currently a prominent professor at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Gamboa has participated in the development of master plans and the design of institutional buildings. His work has earned him recognition at the Colombian Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BCAU) for projects such as the Laboratory and Simulation Building for the Escuela Naval Almirante Padilla.
Addressing fundamental architectural concepts such as history, theory, and technique, this warm conversation evolved into a profound reflection on the use of precedents, the correlation of design elements and theory within a project, and the role of critical thinking in architectural practice. This perspective, marking the fourth installment, joins our *Siete Imaginarios, Siete Arquitectos* interview series, available on our YouTube channel.
