23 SUL talks about public works, industrialization, and the design process

Active since 2006, the São Paulo-based practice 23 SUL, composed of partners Gaú Manzi, Ivo Magaldi, Luís Pompeo, Luiz Ricardo Florence, Moreno Zaidan, Tiago Oakley, and André Sant’Anna da Silva, features a portfolio across a wide range of scales, spanning from the domestic to the urban sphere, with projects developed for both private clients and the public sector.

Prominent among their large-scale works are the São Paulo-Morumbi Metro Station on Line 4 of the São Paulo Metro—winner of the Urbanity category at the 2019 APCA Awards—the Dra. Evangelina de Carvalho Passig Bus Terminal in Ribeirão Preto, and the North-South BRT Corridor in São Paulo.

Watch the interview above with six of 23 SUL's partners, in which the architects discuss everything from the office's design process to the differences between working for public and private clients.
