To purchase computers for economically vulnerable students at the Department of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design of the Federal University of Ceará—who, due to the pandemic, are unable to attend classes and lectures, develop projects, hold meetings, work in research groups, or access the vast amount of online information—professors and artists have come together for a common project: SOLIDARIEDAUD.

This crowdfunding campaign aims to raise funds to support these students. According to an internal department survey, 52% of their families earn up to three minimum wages. Therefore, purchasing these computers will make a real difference in the education and training of students who lack easy access to these technologies. Click here to contribute and learn more below.

"We understand digital equity as an element of strengthening citizenship.
ALL TOGETHER, NO ONE LEFT BEHIND. We must guarantee the same quality of access to education."

WHO'S BEHIND IT / REWARDS

The project is an initiative of the coordinators of the Architecture and Urbanism and Design programs, and aims to raise funds by offering four types of rewards:

The vast majority of the works were featured in the exhibition "Intersecção: Arte, Arquitetura, UFC," curated by Andréa Dall'Olio at the UFC Art Museum (MAUC) in 2020.

A Riso is a duplicator machine with specific printing characteristics that make each print unique, bringing a handcrafted quality to the final result. It is an eco-friendly machine, operating cold to save energy, utilizing recyclable aluminum masters (printing plates), and using inks primarily composed of soybean oil. It has been widely used by artists and designers for its unexpected color and overlay effects, as well as its embrace and celebration of minor imperfections and smudges inherent to the process.
