Anything but change?

As part of an initiative by various creatives, Anything Else, But Change? emerges as a collective virtual exhibition that seeks to foster creative production and showcase content that triggers new ways of contemplating the current historical moment. In this project, the current state of affairs is not conceived as a struggle or a war; instead, it is understood as an invisible force pushing for a rapid shift in socioeconomic, political, and cultural logic, with no time for preparation.

The intense use of social media—as the new public space where we meet, converse, and see each other—seemed to us an interesting and pertinent exercise. Therefore, we decided to use Instagram as the platform to capture this moment of uncertainty and loss of meaning through the eyes of various creators. The idea was to invite artists from different cities in Mexico and around the world to present as broad a panorama of current circumstances as possible, while taking advantage of the platform's fluidity to capture the same event through diverse approaches.

Since its inception, Co Proyecto has sought to be a platform for critical reflection on architecture through other disciplines. In this exhibition, this entire confinement unfolds within the built space inhabited by each invited creator. Additionally, it constantly explores independent efforts to showcase work and ideas beyond signature pieces, highlighting diverse discourses and valuable projects that go beyond collective recognition.

We do not believe there is a single way to understand this puzzle; however, the presented pieces help us see this exhibition as an artistic-historical archive that will remain on this social network as a reminder of what we lived through, continuing to give us something to talk, write, and reflect about.
