The City of Camaçari and the Institute of Architects of Brazil – Bahia Department have announced the winners of the national design competition for the public park on Morro da Manteiga. The goal was to select a viable project that provides Morro da Manteiga with a socially inclusive and environmentally healthy use.
To this end, the proposals had to address three structuring themes, presented in an integrated and compatible manner – environment and landscape; infrastructure and urban mobility; and uses and facilities.
The Jury, composed of architects and urban planners Naia Alban Suarez, Luciana Bongiovanni Martins Schenk, Genival Seixas Graça, Thiago Teixeira de Andrade, and Giancarlo Mazzanti, evaluated the 22 submitted proposals over three days to select the winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd places) and three honorable mentions. The official ratification of the results will take place on July 30.
