Construye Solar 2019 will exhibit eight sustainable social housing units in Santiago, designed and built by universities from across Chile. The initiative, according to the organizers, aims to "spark innovation in social housing construction, addressing the inherent challenges of pursuing sustainable innovation on a limited budget."
In this third edition, eight institutions will compete: UTEM, Instituto de Medio Ambiente (IDMA), Universidad Católica del Maule, Universidad de Santiago, DUOC UC, Universidad Mayor (Temuco campus), Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, and Universidad Diego Portales. As the teams prepare for the final competition, we spoke with them to learn about the innovations behind their projects.
