We believe that the work produced by Argentine universities is immense and valuable, which is why we once again see the need to launch a call to showcase the best thesis projects coming out of them. Many of these proposals raise compelling issues and can be truly intellectual and critical works. Unfortunately, the vast majority end up archived, gathering dust on shelves, missing the opportunity to drive real change in our cities and in the way we live and think.
If you believe your 2017 thesis project is compelling enough to be featured on our site, and that your hard work deserves recognition from the wider community, do not hesitate to submit it using the form at the end of this article.
How does it work?
Complete the form and send us a Google Drive folder containing the following:
- Main images of your project (Maximum 10).
- Main drawings of your project (Maximum 10).
- Brief description of your project (Maximum 300 words).
Submissions close on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 12:00 PM EST.
Our editorial team will evaluate the submissions, and we will publish a selection during the same month, after notifying the authors via email.
Requirements
- Unbuilt projects must stem from individual or group work carried out at architecture schools within Argentina, preferably during the final thesis project presented in 2017.
- Submissions must be made exclusively via Google Drive.
- Before sharing your proposal with us, make sure to set the permissions for your Google Drive folder to "Anyone with the link can edit."
- Images and drawings must be submitted separately in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format, and text in Google Docs or Microsoft Word. We will not accept PDF files.
- Do not upload compressed files (zip, winrar), as we would like to review your proposal online, without downloading the content.
- Proposals that do not comply with these conditions will be automatically disqualified.
Tips
- We prefer individual images of your project over presentation boards/panels.
- As you can imagine, we expect to receive a large volume of proposals, so we advise you to be brief and concise in your written explanation.
- Your written explanation must be submitted, at least, in Spanish.
- Unless indicated otherwise, the photographs you submit will have a caption reading "Image courtesy of." If credit for your images belongs to someone else, please include a document in the folder with the necessary details to assign the respective copyright.
