Canário Apartment / RAWI Arquitetura

Text description provided by the architects. The Canário Apartment is situated in a residential building in Vila Mariana, one of the most traditional neighborhoods in São Paulo. Its name—Portuguese for "canary"—references the color palette used throughout the project: green, yellow, and white. The original layout consisted of a narrow living room connected to a balcony, a linear kitchen linked to the laundry area, a bathroom, and three bedrooms, one of which was a small maid's suite accessed through the laundry room. Consequently, the team identified a need to adapt several spaces to make them flexible and capable of meeting contemporary demands.
