The reconstruction of a single-family home in Saa, in Carballeda de Avia, Ourense, met the owner's need to recover the building after a devastating fire completely ravaged the area. The intervention was approached with the utmost respect for the heritage and memory of the place, using contemporary construction systems. Following discussions with the owner and given budget limitations, a minimal program was chosen. The ground floor houses the day area, which consists of a single open-plan room combining the kitchen, living room, and dining room. An accessible bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink was also integrated. The storage room retained its previous function, while the laundry area was incorporated into the smallest room on the ground floor.
