Text description provided by the architects. Located in the Moema neighborhood in São Paulo is the new Studio Massa store, by Recife-born designer Renata Brennand. The space is a former house that had already undergone major transformations; when we first arrived, it was still a clothing store, complete with fitting rooms, a segmented layout, and almost no natural light. We intervened in the property to make it more spacious and bright to house the furniture, most of which is colorful and vibrant. To highlight these pieces, the entire store was “washed” in white, creating spaces with contrast that accentuate the silhouettes of the displayed furniture.
