Text description provided by the architects. The project is located in Ambato, Ecuador. The city's geographical conditions historically allowed several neighborhoods to be interconnected with the city center through stairways. However, this essential historical feature was eventually overtaken by vehicular use and the creation of new roads to facilitate car traffic, eliminating pedestrian spaces. As a result, this area was abandoned, and the neighborhoods near the stairways faced complex social issues, turning them into dangerous zones.
