The austere and simple facade evokes the meaning behind the restaurant's name, Statera: “equilibrium / balance.” Located on La Mar Street, considered one of Lima's most important culinary corridors, the project contrasts its sculptural, arid exterior with an urban oasis inside. This interior represents the restaurant's gastronomic concept, which seeks to reflect “the balance found in nature through a perfect equilibrium of contrasts,” much like an oasis: “vegetation in an arid environment.”
