In 2024, the evolution of porcelain tiles has elevated the tactile experience to a new level, transforming them into true works of art. Produced with mineral texture printing technology, the collections feature striking reliefs in dimensions of 120 x 120 cm, 100 x 200 cm, 120 x 250 cm, 160 x 160 cm, and 160 x 320 cm, designed to awaken all the senses. Behind this advancement is Roca Brasil Cerámica, part of the Mexican LAMOSA Group, leading the Roca Cerâmica and Incepa brands.
Driven by a pioneering spirit, Roca Brasil Cerámica was the first in the Americas to introduce this type of innovation by acquiring DDG (Digital Decoration & Glazing) technology, which allows the creation of wall and floor tiles with extraordinary details and 3D effects. This led to the first series featuring Mineral LAB technology, the result of the highly precise application of grits made from various noble minerals (of Italian origin) onto the porcelain surfaces, which react to heat during firing. "This fusion generates a texture that retrieves the essence of ceramic art, resulting in pieces with unique, individual markings," explains Christie Silva Schulka, Marketing Manager at Roca Brasil Cerámica. The millimeter precision of this process enables highly detailed patterns while reducing water and raw material waste—a sustainable innovation fully aligned with Roca Brasil Cerámica's values.
In addition to their soft touch and striking visual appeal, products featuring Mineral LAB offer another major attribute: the In/Out finish, which provides slip resistance without the roughness of conventional non-slip products. Consequently, these tiles combine a delicate feel with the safety required for installation in integrated indoor and outdoor areas, such as residential pathways and covered verandas, while maintaining the visual continuity of the spaces.
