“The architectural project for the renovation of the apartment was based on the fluidity of spaces for shared use and the valorization of raw materials. In this sense, antagonistic concepts were adopted for each of the themes raised in the design approach: decantation and homogenization. The decantation in question occurred replacing the physical process of sedimentation with scraping, but obtaining the separation of the three elements – phases – of the construction composition: floor, walls and ceiling. This stratification privileged the marking of the existing concrete in the horizontal planes, while the neutrality of the vertical axes of the walls were structured by the gap associated with the spacing between masonry. Therefore, gray and white bands are marked. At the same time, exposed and coated elements are interspersed.
