Even though these hot months can be a bit stifling, we’re excited because the summer means that the PS1 installation by SO-IL (catch our coverage of the winning proposal here) is almost ready for the public! Upon watching SO-IL’s competition entry video, we are patiently waiting to experience the physical manifestation of the Pole Dance’s conceptual ideas about making space. While you can expect full coverage of the project, thanks to our reader, Alan R Tansey, we can share a sneak peak of the Pole Dance installation with you today. Enjoy!
More images after the break.

well, i have to say it looks just like their conceptual video and unfortunately that is to say it looks rather diminutive and sparse, i dont see a whole lot of substance here. to be fair the concept is about the dynamic quality of the moving poles so these still images might not be telling the whole story. visually its a quite dull though.
isn’t the main component of the PS1 program supposed to be shade?
At first I was a little bit skeptic but now, after watching the pictures I find that you have the things you need to just have a little bit of fun. I do like it

alan your web sight isn’t so great… and thx again for showing a courtyard without construction shots , a party or dancers, your shots really capture the spirit of the design.
I was able to check this out yesterday. I posted some photos onto my blog as well.
