The Wood Design & Building Awards program recognizes design teams that are passionate about celebrating wood as a safe, strong, and sophisticated building material. Projects submitted to the Wood Design & Building Awards program are accepted from Canada, US, and internationally, adding value to the diversity of wood building application examples.

The Design Educates Awards (DEAwards) recognize, showcase, and promote globally the best educational ideas and implementations of architecture and design. Design itself may provide an informative and educational layer that guides us through the increasing complexity of our environment. It can highlight specific possibilities and challenges, explain sociocultural factors and influences, or even outline new scenarios for future development. Each year, the esteemed panel of judges selects outstanding ideas and implementations in the categories of architectural design, product design, universal design, and responsive design.

In recent times, almost everyone has had to confront their perspective of “home” as these spaces have evolved to incorporate so many aspects of our daily lives.

The World Design Capital® is designated every two years by the World Design Organization (WDO), which is dedicated to promoting the design profession worldwide. The objective is to recognize cities that use design as a tool to stimulate economic, social, cultural and environmental development. The latest cities chosen have been Turin, Seoul, Helsinki, Cape Town, Taipei, Mexico City and Lille; an interesting mixture of cities that have established design as a key method of transformation.
Universities are critical centres for the production of knowledge and innovation. Since the inception of the Triennale we have involved these institutions in the programme of each edition of its most emblematic event. As such, we invite schools from all over the world to participate in a transverse perspective of possible cooperation. The Millennium bcp Lisbon Triennale Universities Competition Award is part of the central programme for the 6th edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale to take place in the Autumn of 2022.

Crossings - Winning Team of the Co-Curatorship Call of the 13th Biennale
The winning team of the Co-Curatorship Call of the 13th International Architecture Biennale of São Paulo was announced today, April 29, 2021, by the Institute of Brazilian Architects - Department of São Paulo (IABsp). The Crossings team is made up of nine Brazilian members from different areas: Carolina Piai Vieira, Larissa Francez Zarpelon, Louise Lenate Ferreira da Silva, Luciene Gomes, Pedro Cardoso Smith, Pedro Vinícius Alves, Raíssa Albano de Oliveira, Thiago Sousa Silva and Viviane de Andrade Sá.
The SoA's Spring 2021 lectures and events explore the intersections of design culture, design labor, social equity, environmental and economic justice, experimental form making, and historic preservation.
