Con más de 75 años de actividad a nivel mundial, el Goethe-Institut encargó por primera vez en su historia un espacio diseñado a medida desde el concepto hasta la construcción. Como uno de sus centros principales en África Occidental, la elección de Kéré Architecture refleja la ambición del Goethe-Institut Dakar de definir cómo debe ser el intercambio cultural en el siglo XXI.
