The Faculty of Architecture and Design at Universidad de los Andes announces the open call for Pabellón 2023, a three-day international conference (October 11–13, 2023). This open call seeks projects in various formats that capture the current state of creative practice, informed by plural perspectives as diverse as the world to which architecture and design respond. The exhibition "Between the Lines: Twenty Influential Voices in the History of Architecture in Chile" will be open to the public until Saturday, July 22, 2023. The exhibition is hosted at Barco Galería para la Arquitectura, located in downtown Santiago (Santa Lucía 382, 1C), and is part of the project "Between the Lines: Modern Female Architects in Chile and Their Disciplinary Contribution," funded by the 2022 National Fondart grant from the Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Heritage. The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia is launching the second edition of the Jaime Lerner Scholarships. This year, the scholarship is offered to professionals from all Latin American countries to pursue our Online Master in City & Technology: The Near Urbanism for the 2023/2024 academic year. In doing so, we reinforce our commitment to supporting young architects in their efforts to specialize and contribute effectively to better cities in their respective countries.

Firm and consistent, this force represents the solidification of particles into rock formations, precious stones, and structures over time. This serves as the starting point and theme for the eleventh edition of MADE – Mercado Arte e Design. For the second time, the event will be held at the new Complexo Pacaembu, running concurrently with the ArPa art fair from May 31 to June 4, 2023.

Instituto Ling is hosting a special program to reflect on architecture in the contemporary world. Held in partnership with AsBEA-RS (the Brazilian Association of Architectural Offices of Rio Grande do Sul), the project features an inaugural lecture and two short courses running from May to August, exploring cities, history, memory, and sustainability, while offering new perspectives on ways of living, coexisting, and dwelling.

Held on May 25 and 26, the 2nd Experimental Construction Site Seminar in Architecture and Urbanism was promoted by LEMC Canteiro Experimental, the PET Canteiro Experimental e Comunidades group, and GEPARQ (Research Group of PROARQ/UFRJ). The Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning of Uruguay and Mevir, with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank, are calling for proposals for new low-rise timber housing typologies.
