The 19th Academic Competition for Schools of Architecture, organized by the Universidad Intercontinental (UIC), will focus on the urban regeneration of the Corredor del Carmen in the Historic Center of Mexico City (CDMX).

We aren't entirely sure what the world needs in uncertain times like these, but taking the time to come together and refine our ideas regarding territory, architecture, gender, cleanliness, or mobility can undoubtedly make a contribution. That is why, just as we have done for the past 15 years, we have been working to offer you free, high-quality content about our cities and the ways in which we inhabit them.

After setting aside his career as an architect to serve on the front lines during World War I, Walter Gropius sensed that the world needed a radical change—a change in which art and architecture would play a fundamental role.

Rhinoceros is the quintessential tool for many architects and designers worldwide. Its capabilities extend beyond 3D modeling of highly flexible morphological and parametric proposals; it is also a tool for drafting, quantification, visualization, and geometric analysis.

Following a year of virtual activities from our event series on the Bauhaus and Latin America, the in-person exhibition "Bauhaus Reverberated" marks a new phase of the initiative with a program that explores heterogeneous formats. The exhibition offers an assessment of the 101 years of the German school of art, architecture, and design founded in Weimar in 1919, and provides an overview of its impact on the Latin American subcontinent by examining the networks of circulation for actors, ideas, and pedagogical models across our continent.

The Universidad Intercontinental (UIC) celebrates the 20th anniversary of its Academic Competition for Schools of Architecture, a contest open to sixth-semester students from any university. This year's conceptual theme, "Voids that complete the city," seeks to address environmental challenges such as the indiscriminate use of automobiles—and the resulting increase in public parking—the exploitation of existing resources, food supply, and the lack of responsible water harvesting and management.

In 2020, the health crisis forced the MEXTRÓPOLI Festival in Mexico City to reschedule and reinvent itself, launching a hybrid edition to create a safer environment where virtual and in-person visitors could enjoy the scheduled activities. Following this approach, a series of events will be presented throughout 2021, from April to September.

The National League of Architecture Students (LINEA Mexico) and the Higher School of Engineering and Architecture present the 2022 edition of the International Meeting on Computational Design, Digital Fabrication, and Technology Applied to Architecture, better known as Atrica. The event will take place from April 25 to 29, 2022, at ESIA Tecamachalco in Mexico.

After two years of using the Zoom format, we are pleased to return to the in-person sessions of the National Academy of Architecture, Monterrey Chapter, at the Museo de Historia Mexicana, which we have traditionally held on the first Monday of every month since 1995. On this occasion, our guest speaker is architect Juan Carral O'Gorman, who is visiting us from Quintana Roo.
