We are pleased to present a new Fábrica de Ciudad Update Seminar (SAC-FAB), a digital space designed to foster encounters between architects, students, and professors with a focus on reflecting on architectural thought.
We invite you to participate in the third edition of SAC-FAB. This online seminar will be led by Jesica Amescua and Mariana Ordóñez (COMUNAL: taller de arquitectura).
The work COMUNAL carries out in collaboration with communities is complex and systemic, as it addresses the multiple dimensions interrelated with habitation: socio-cultural, environmental-territorial, economic-productive, and political-normative. The social processes in which they participate should not be viewed as altruism, volunteer work, or humanitarian aid. COMUNAL’s practice is rooted in a constant exercise of advocacy, social justice, democracy, and the defense of human rights, through which they champion the construction of an inclusive, collaborative, equitable, and solidary society.
